De Blasio postpones indoor dining in NYC

Must read

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio on Wednesday (July 1) announced the city would postpone indoor dining in the city’s restaurants because he was alarmed by the uptick in coronavirus cases in other parts of the country.

“…the news that we have gotten from around the country gets worse and worse all the time,” de Blasio said.

The city was slated to enter “Phase 3” of its reopening plan on July 6, which would allow patrons to dine inside of restaurants operating under capacity restrictions.

Currently, 6,600 restaurants are allowing customers to eat at outdoor tables, and others are opened for takeout and delivery.
