Houston based writer and director Courtney Glaude has set out to do his part in laying the foundation of unity and collaboration with his fellow Houston based filmmakers along with his core team Gracie Henley, Stanley Hillard, and Jessica Davis. This Saturday, he will be hosting a casting call for his upcoming project “Amygdala,” a series of short films based around psychological dilemmas.
Glaude has invited other filmmakers who will have the opportunity to observe and meet talent for their own projects as well. Among some of the filmmakers invited are: director Vincent Powell, producer/director Malcolm Carter, and the Milton Brothers, Jonathon and Justin Milton. “It puts the idea of ‘working together’ in motion. I think we have tried in the past but this is my effort to help build the foundation of creatives working together to achieve something bigger for the community,” Courtney says.
As a growing film destination, Courtney is building a brand of togetherness and support for his local creative community.
